Brenna Smaller had a crush on James Williams the moment they moved in across the street from her parents’ home. Brenna was an impressionable young lady at the time but saw something in James that made her want to get to know him and as they matured, she did get to know and care about him because he was rather kind to her and her friends. One of her friends in particular was her best friend that also had a crush on James’s cousin. They got to know each other thru church and singing in the choir together. Brenna knew that she loved him as she grew older. She could not do or say anything because she was just too young, so she loved him from a distance. Her dad was aware of the young man watching his daughter but reminded James that she was a bit too young for him. Brenna only saw it as him being a few years older than herself and did not push the issue with her dad watching. However, Brenna’s friend Julie’s was deeply in love with Johnny but he was more infatuated rather with the girls oppose to being in love.
